This is the Meeker County DFL’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and it won’t be successful without you. Here are some ways you can help:
* Attend the fundraiser – It is only $15 a person for food, fellowship and a chance to take an active part in the political system.
* Bring a pot of chili – The judging is all in fun, and the bigger the variety the more fun (and filling) the evening – the categories are mild, hot, variety and vegetarian, but bringing chili or not, all are welcome to join us for food and fellowship.
* Bring your appetite – Chili fixings include sour cream and grated cheese and lettuce; other food includes brats and buns, corn bread, chips and bars; coffee and milk is gratis and beer, wine and pop can be purchased at the bar.
* Bring an auction item – The auction is one of the highlights of the evening, so people are encouraged to bring something to be sold and/or raise their hands high when bidding on items; suggestions include baked goods, garden produce, craft items and political memorabilia.
* Be ready to hear some important news – Rep. Mindy Greiling will talk about her work to bring a new Minnesota Miracle to Minnesota and Rep. Al Juhnke will tell us about his efforts to spur the rural economy and the importance agriculture has on the state’s economy.
